About US

Our mission is to do better for our Youth. An early lessoned i received from my Grandpa was "Kids that are engaged in gainful activities are kids that aren't on the street getting in trouble."

Red Dirt Shooting Sports (RDSS)

Developing Youth through Sportsmanship, Conservation, and Outdoor Activities

At Red Dirt Shooting Sports, our mission is clear: to develop, grow, and support Oklahoma youth through hands-on events, shooting sports, wildlife habitat, and conservation programs.

We are committed to introducing and educating youth and their families about safe firearm and archery handling, shooting sports, and outdoor conservation practices.

As an organization organized exclusively for purposes pursuant to section 501c3 of the Internal Revenue Service, we are dedicated to promoting responsible outdoor activities while instilling essential life skills and values in our young athletes.

Meet the Coach

"Over 30 years of Experience"

Welcome to Red Dirt Shooting Sports (RDSS)! Meet Coach Gary Parks, the founder and driving force behind our organization. With over 30 years of experience in coaching and teaching youth in shooting sports and outdoor activities, Coach Parks is deeply passionate about empowering the next generation of conservationists and sports enthusiasts.

Coach Parks’ journey into the world of archery began with a simple request from his granddaughter to try archery with their local 4H shooting sports program. Since then, he has been dedicated to providing young athletes with unique opportunities to learn and grow in a safe and supportive environment. With a background in hunting and conservation, Coach Parks is committed to instilling a love for the outdoors and a sense of responsibility towards wildlife and habitat preservation in Oklahoma’s youth.

As the founder of RDSS, Coach Parks is committed to upholding the highest standards of excellence and professionalism in everything [he/she] does. Through RDSS programs, he aims to inspire young individuals to develop essential life skills such as leadership, discipline, and resilience, while fostering a deep connection to nature and the outdoors.
